Lamont Dharma House is a gathering place in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Our mission is to support people deepening their spiritual practice by offering a space for meditation, yoga, talks, classes, and other events. We aim to grow sangha (spiritual community) in the D.C. area and welcome people of all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, faiths, and cultures.
Our space is located in a row house that is home to five resident practitioners who help support the project and have committed to growing together in intentional spiritual community. We host morning and evening meditation sessions, teacher-guided dharma talks, monthly daylong retreats, yoga classes, and special programs and events.
All classes and events are on a donation basis, in the tradition of dana (generosity). We have some meditation cushions, yoga mats, and chairs, but please bring your own if you have them.
